Excellent weather conditions proved favourable with many track and field records being broken.

Chelsy Wayne broke a long standing under 10 girls long jump record set back in 1990 with a fantastic jump improving on the old record by a massive 17cm setting a new record of 4.31m.
Chelsy also broke the shot put and discus records as well as being part of the record breaking junior girls 4 x 100m relay team.
Older sister, Jamaya Wayne also broke a long standing 23 year old discus record in under 12’s girl’s discus, throwing 31.20, beating 30.32.

Chelsea Ezoeke had a very impressive weekend setting 4 new records and was also part of the record breaking junior girls relay team.

Other multiple record breakers included Kailee Moore, Grace Adams and Gabriel Bickel.

The relay at the end of the meet was made up of the fastest 100m runners from each club on the day to make up junior and senior boys and girls teams.

Wollongong City took out all 4 relays and set records in the Junior Girls and senior Girls events – an outstanding result.
