In their Own Words
Delta Amidzovski
Delta began her athletics journey at just three years old with Little Athletics, falling in love with the sport from the moment she stepped onto the track. Even in those early Little A’s days, it was clear she had something special, a natural talent, determination, and a genuine love for competing.
As she progressed through the age groups, Delta began to show her strengths in the hurdles and long jump events. Around age 10, she started more focused training, and her commitment quickly began to show results at both state and national levels.
Her first international break came when she was selected to represent Australia at the World U20 Championships in Colombia at just 15yrs old, the youngest member on an Australian team. This was an incredible milestone and the beginning of her rising career.
Since then, Delta has continued to make Australian teams, most recently competing at the 2024 World U20 Championships, where she brought home gold in the long jump becoming Australia’s first ever female to win a medal at a global level in the event and bronze in the 100m hurdles.
Now, in 2025, she has proudly made her senior debut at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, marking a huge step forward in her journey.
Delta’s story is a powerful reminder of where passion and perseverance can take you, from the grass roots of Little Athletics to the world stage. She remains a proud alumni of WCLAC and hopes to continue to inspire the next generation coming through.
