South Coast and Highlands Zone Championships
When: 29-30 November 2025
Where: Wollongong City LAC, Beaton Park Leisure Centre
Our South Coast Zone is one of the 23 zones throughout NSW. The Zone Championships are open to all athletes registered with NSW Athletics and will be delivered in a relaxed competition environment.
Events will be offered in the 7s-15s age groups. Our zone also offers opportunities in the 16s, 17s, U20’s and Para age groups. From 16’s and over, competition is purely for experience and participation. Athletes in these age groups do not progress through the competition pathway and will have to enter Region and/or State directly if they wish to compete.
ZONE TO REGION PROGRESSION
Regions with three zones will have four automatic places progress; regions with four zones will have three automatic places progress; and regions with two zones will have six automatic places progress through to their respective regions. Then a maximum of four next best qualifiers from each region will also be taken through to the respective regions. Making a total of up to 16 athletes in each event at each region.
